Biography
Dr. Farid Qazi is a specialist in Blood disorders and Cancer
treatment he is in a solo practice at Dublin Hematology &
Oncology Care, PC. He has served as an assistant professor of
internal medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine and
was an assistant professor of medical oncology at the University
of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison Wisconsin,before his relocation
to Georgia.
He specializes in treatment of blood disorders like anemia,
clotting diseases and blood cancers and treatment of solid cancers
like Lung, colon, breast and prostate cancer.
He has established a state of the art cancer center equipped
with modern equipment where chemotherapy, biological therapy
and supportive therapy is provided. This treatment center is
capable of providing latest and up-to-date treatment for which
patients had to travel to far out places in the past, now available
in the heart of a rural Georgia community.
Dr. Qazi has a strong educational and training background.
After earning his MBBS degree from Dow Medical College he
was an intern and resident senior house officer at Civil Hospital
before working as a senior house physician at Burnley General
Hospital in the United Kingdom. Dr. Qazi came to Cook County
Hospital for an internship and residency in internal medicine,
followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology and bone marrow
transplantation at Emory University.
Dr. Qazi has been a member of the American Society of Clinical
Oncology, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, American Society
of Hematology, American Medical Association, American College
of Physicians and British Medical Association. Among other honors,
he was awarded Best Resident and Resident of the Month at Burnley
General Hospital and Cook County Hospital, respectively.
